Meiko Morita, a high school student living in Akita, is one day selected as a special transfer student for the prestigious "Amamiya Girls' Academy"!
Filled with both excitement and anxiety about her dream school life in Tokyo, Meiko moves to the big city... However, what awaited her there was, of all things, a Manga Cafe named "Hedgehog"!
It turns out this manga cafe doubles as a student dormitory, and she ends up having to work there as a "service activity" alongside a group of quirky fellow boarders!?
And so, Meiko's slightly strange life living in a one-mat cubicle at a manga cafe begins!
